#4 Benefits of a website
It Cuts Costs
As well as simply displaying information, you can also use your website to sell goods & services directly to consumers, in some cases removing the need to use “brick-and-mortar” stores which involve large operating costs (staff wages, rental, utilities to name just a few). Eliminating these overheads will also allow you to lower your prices, giving your business that real competitive edge.
Sometimes less is more
A common mistake when building a website for many businesses is to create lots of pages but having very little to say. Visitors quickly tire of waiting for a page to load, to then only be presented with a single paragraph of text. For small businesses a single page website can work much better. All the information is in one place, visitors still navigate via a menu as they would on a multi-page website, but the smooth page scrolling adds a nice visual effect.
For W Leyden Building Services it was the perfect solution. About, services, testimonials picture gallery of their work and contact detail all on one page. Looks like we built great on-line foundations for Bill Leyden; “I build homes not websites and I just needed a simple website to list my services, show my testimonials and show some of my previous work. Keith put all of this together for me in a great single page website. A number of my customers have commented on how good it looks.”
